Hi Guys, today we will discuss about how to reset HikVision DVR Password with your phone. HikVision is one of the most popular brand in the DVR industry. There is a complete range of DVR available in HikVision.
If you forgot your DVR password or pattern lock then you can easily do it with your phone. However, it is recommended to call the officials for further guidance. In this tutorial, we will discuss how to reset hikvision dvr password with your phone. It does not need to call any officials.
Follow the tutorial, if you forgot password mistakenly or setting up new device not for illegal purposes.
Reset HikVision DVR Password
Start your DVR and then wait until you are see camera views as shown below
Right click and then click menu as shown above
If you are seeing Pattern lock then try multiple times until you see below screen
You can Forgot Password Button in bottom right position click on that button as shown below
A new window will open as shown below
You can see Serial No. and Secure Code.
Now, you have to generate Secure Code and then click OK button
Generate Secure Code
For generating secure code you have to visit here from your phone or laptop
You will see Hikvision Camera Password Reset Utility Screen as shown below
Fill the Serial Number in above screen as shown below in your DVR forgot Password Screen. Also, fill Year, month and day based on your camera current time. Go to your camera view again then you can see your camera time
Fill the secure code generated in above screen and then click OK Button
You will see Reset Password as shown below
Enter your new password and confirm password then click Reset
Your password is reset successfully. However, it is recommended to reset your DVR after resetting the password.
